Do Betty Crocker points have any value anymore?

I have like a million Betty Crocker points, as I have always cut them out because my mother always did. She used to order free stuff many years ago. I recently ordered a catalog, and it looks as though the only use for points now is for free shipping (100 - 250 points, depending on your order total). All the items cost real money (UGH!) now, no points, and they really are not bargains at all. So did I cut out all these points over the years for nothing? Is there any use for them anywhere? I would happily donate them to a good cause.

I have been cutting them out too and to me it looks like it gives you "discounts" on their items but nothing is free. Frustrated me too, but it is a habit to cut them out, so I continue...

I just looked at their site the other day, and yes, it looks like they're just good for free shipping now. Used to be that you'd get different discount levels depending on how many points you sent it, but they've now gotten rid of the price tiers, and just do the free shipping.

I found the item wasn't worth what I collected the points & payments for S/H was but I did find that our local middle school collected them and they seem to be getting a better deal from Betty Crocker for turning them in so if you don't want them call a few local schools & see if anyone collects in your area- or let me know & I will send you a SASE for our middle school.

My daughters school collects them(points and box tops) for books in their library, I will refund postage if anyone wants to send them to me.
