Do AP Rates have blackout periods?

Hi everyone,

We're trying to decide if we want to renew our annual pass or wait and buy a new one to "reset" the renewal date. Anyway, we're wondering if AP rates traditionally have blackout dates like the GP offers do. We plan to go Thanksgiving week and currently have a reservation with a AAA discount. Will that be our best deal, or would the AP rates cover that period?

Historically the Annual Pass rates aren't offered everyday of the year. For example the current Annual Pass rates are for stays from 1/2/11-4/16/11 and it must be reserved by 4/16/11. After that no one knows when the next set of Annual Pass rates will be released.

The SP rates won't be available for Nov until much later in the year. I was pricing out rooms this past November, and the AP rate was not available the holiday weekend.

We had a great AP rate for Thanksgiving 2009. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't blacked out!

That helps, thanks. At least I know there's a chance. I know the rates won't come out until this summer, so I'm still going to have to decide if the renewal is worth it in June.
