My mother-in-law would like to join us for 5 days of our Disney World trip in late August. She is a Florida resident with an Annual Pass. If I get her her own room, can she get free dining? Or, is she unable to because she didn't technically "purchase" park tickets specifically for that time?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I think the window for booking the free dining ended.

Either way, she would have to purchase a two day park hopper at minimum to get free dining.

You may be able to do this by adding her to your room and buying the ticket. The ticket doesn't expire, as long as you don't use it that trip; you can have the hotel concierge give you a hard copy (card) of the ticket and then save it for a future trip. This is what we are doing for our next trip - my DD and I are going and have free dining booked, but we have AP's that expire the day before the last day of our trip. We're saving the tickets for next trip and using our AP's. Our last day we're not going to the theme parks, but rather are going to play mini golf, swim, and relax.

She would most likely be better off to use an AP discount for room only but as PP said, no she can't get it without park tickets.
