Do any resorts have rooms for 6?

We are a party of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids), but my dad wil be joining us for half of our trip. We are booked at POR with a room for 5 right now. I am wondering if we should book my dad another room at POR for the 3 nights he will be there with us or should we try to find a room that will accomidate 6 for the entire stay? And where at Disney do they have rooms (or suites) for 6?

Maybe the All Stars suites? Families seem to really like those, but not sure how comfy one of those pull out beds would be for your dad.

Or at POR if your children are little, your day could have one other beds - just 3 nights, but then there is the extra adult fee and it would be pretty tight.

Think I would lean toward another room at POR and request connecting rooms for those three nights - or at least adjoining rooms. Hope you are traveling at a time when you'll be able to get a AAA discount - AP rates now require an AP holder in each room. Oh, and there are FW Cabins are for 6 or 8!

Fort Wilderness Cabins sleep six and they have a lot to do at the resort itself. Campfires, Movies, horse riding, etc. Also if you get an AB room at POR and your youngest is under 2 or 3 in a pac-n-play you may fit in one room. It'll be tight, but doable

The DVC resorts all have rooms up to 8 and some 12.

I would look into getting a FW cabin or booking a DVC resort. Cabins sleep 6 & a 2BR DVC can sleep 8.

You'll get a full kitchen with both.

Cabin will have one bath; DVC will have 2 full baths.

I am renting points from a DVC owner for my group of 8 to stay in, it's super cost effective too. Its like staying in a small home as opposed to a super tight hotel room.

There is no extra adult fee at the Family Suites at All Star Muic.
1-6 adults can stay in the Family Suites at the same set cost!


DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) last Sept. (2006)

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no metal bar to hurt the sleepers back.

We satyed at the All star music suites and loved them . We were a party of 5 and our 15 year old daughter who is very pickey where she sleeps had no problems on the pull outs . We actually were much happier there then in the rooms at POR. We will continue to look for the family suites rather then squeeze in a regular room at POR. The trundle bed at POR is small.
