Do any CMs know when their holiday parties are?

I'll be at Disneyland in December for two days and I'm wondering if the dates might fall when the CMs have their holiday party? Since my time is limited, I'd hate for my trip to fall under days when the park closes at 6pm (and there's no extra ticket event ). Thanks!

What are your dates? Also I believe DL opens at 8am instead of 10 on theses days.

The CM party dates will either be 12/5 & 12/6 or 12/12 & 12/13 this year. Everyone wants to know when the parties will happen, but no one knows yet.

It's really not that bad, though - I was there for a limited time last year and the CM parties fell right during my trip. I just stayed at DL until closing or right before, and did other things on those nights. DCA stays open, DTD is open, all the hotels are open. It is only Disneyland itself that closes at 6 p.m. They still do the snow on Main Street and the tree lighting thing. They still do the fireworks. They still turn on the lights for IASW Holiday. The Castle still lights up in icicles. It's just that shortly after all of this happens the guests have to leave!:rotfl2:

Last year we assumed the CM parties would fall on the earlier December days (which were 12/6 & 12/7), as usual, but around early November-ish, we discovered that the DLR entertainment calendar was showing 12/13 & 12/14 as closing at 6 p.m. We then found out that the CM parties had been moved to one week later than normal. I have no idea if that was a one-time fluke sort of thing, or if they will stick with the later schedule this year.

If the CM's know when their holiday party is (and you would think they'd know by now!), they have not spilled the beans thus far!

I just booked my priority seating for December 5 and 6, the lady that helped me told me that Disneyland is open until 9 both days. So I'm guessing the parties won't be Decmber 5 & 6. Lucky for me! :cool1:

Don't get too excited. It's rare but possible you will get a call offering you another time if they change the park schedule that dining has in thier system.

As far as CM's, as soon as they get word it's going to hit the boards within a few hours. We may see the park hours first for indication, but like last year they could shift it a week.

Thanks skiingfast!! I'm just hoping for a little lower crowd level and figured if the parties are a week later, the crowd might be a little tiny bit smaller!! I know it's wishful thinking as we were just there in May and it was a lot more crowded than we expected. But hey, it's Disneyland!! It will be fun regardless. :cheer2:

Thank you for the responses!

My dates are 12/12 and 12/13.. I'm sure there will be plenty to do outside the park but there's just so much to do inside! I'd much rather have the extra time inside for attractions and especially the ones I love after dark (It's a Small World, Big Thunder, Matterhorn, etc.)

I'll just do the best I can. :)

It is also possible they will NOT call you...in June 2009 they randomly changed and mixed up some of our reservations and never contacted us. For instance, we booked an Ariel's Grotto princess dinner but they changed that to World of Color, so they moved our princess reservation to a less-than-optimal lunch time (like 2 or 3 PM if I recall correctly) without informing us. They also did not book our World of Color reservation correctly. Fortunately, I called to check that everything was still OK and was able to get everything worked out OK.

When I called and said no one contacted me, they did say they "saw why", but didn't explain what the problem had been.

CM parties won't make it more crowded. In fact many try to avoid those days. Also DCA will be open later (8pm) and DL opens earlier (8am) so you'd actually get a longer day.

The only "obvious" reason they could recognize is If a phone number wasn't inputted or incomplete. We had AG dinner reservations that same June and we did get called.
