Do annual pass prices change frequently?

I'm trying to decide when to order an annual pass. I read in another thread that it's better to wait in case hotel prices change, however I'm wondering if the annual pass prices would increase. Any information would be helpful.

Like Disney, Universal does not generally announce price increases until right before it happens. For example, they would raise prices on a Sunday but not notify anyone until Friday night.

Oh so they would notify people about a price increase on the website a couple days before it happens?

Possibly but not likely. When/if a price increase is coming, there will be posts about it. You would be able to purchase before the increase but it probably won't come from Universal itself.

my ap renewal date is late April.

i usually find out about the price increase, if there is one, when i call to renew or by reading about it on the darkside of the Dis..
