Hi...We are back, well a few days ago and maybe I am rested. I pretend to be at least!
My DH, DD(11), DS(8) and Me....May 30th-June 8th!!
I started planning this trip last year and had to cancel when my DH lost his job. BUT by the miracles of miracles he wasn't out of a job but for a short time and we could get back on track for planning! So I contacted my WDW travel agent whom planned our trip a mere 4 years ago. Not sure the rules on naming companies so I won't but if you would like to know who I used, whom I highly reccommend, PM me and I will let you know!!
I resigned up for TourGuideMike and once again that man is RIGHT ON!!! Love him and will always use him if anyone is interested in more info about him let me know!!
We flew out of our home on Saturday May 30th, not too early that we were gonna be exhausted when we got there. So we landed in the magical land around 1pm. Grabbed a quick bite at the airport and got really lucky and hopped on a bus right to our resort. We arrived at Port Orleans Riverside around 3 and checked in. There was a little bit of a wait to check in but nothing bad, maybe 15-20 minutes. My crew happily poked around. On my reservation I had specifically asked to be put in Alligator Bayou in buildings 14 or 18. They had us at in Magnolia Bend. WOW...not even close to what I had requested. So I nicely asked the girl about moving to Alligator Bayou because I hoping to get that troundle bed for my DS(8). Not thinking that the kids would get along with sleeping together!! Well low and behold the things you can get for being nice!! With a phone call to the manager we were changed to building 27, just on the other side of 18, so perfect for us!! I am glad I asked cause from the distance that there would have been in the original room to the main hub and what we got I would have been upset. AND the room was ready!! So off we trotted to our room to drop off our carry-on bags and head to Epcot. I wanted to make sure we saw the last of the Flower and Garden Show and we had dinner reservations in Germany!! WooHoo..off we went!
Found the bus stop closest to our room and it was the main stop! Got to Epcot and it wasn't too terribly crowded. Didn't have time to gander about so we booked it to Germany. But not before a quick trip to get Fast Passes to Test Track!! Once there we got seated right in front with a nice family that was celebrating the mom's bday, they were locals! Super nice!! The kids were over tired and so hungry that nothing seems good to them! UGH!! But low and behold they found something to eat. Half way thru dinner the band kicked up and the kids were amazed and loving it!! The show is way to short if you ask me but I understand if they have to play each hour all night! Oh by the way our waiter was HOT, HOT, HOT!!! Just a side note ladies!!
After dinner we decided that we would check out the flowers! The topiaries are basically the same as I had remembered back in 2005! But we went into the butterfly and fairy gardens. Those were new to us and fun. Got some nice pics of those places!
I remember TGM specifically saying that we needed a good nights sleep so after a quick spin on Test Track we headed back to our room and were in our beds by around 9 which is 8 Texas time, NOT bad!!!
How do I add pics?? Not the same as I remember! I will add lots of pics if someone can walk me thru that.
