Do all GVs at Jambo House have the pool table?

Just booked a grand villa at Jambo House for 2 nights next July. I've seen a lot of reports of the pool table in the villa, but nowhere could I find anything official from DVC that there is a pool table in the villa. Does anyone know if all the grand villas in Jambo House have the pool table?

Thanks!
Kim

Every trip report I've seen where someone stayed in a Jambo GV mentions the pool table. The Jambo GVs were created from the six AKL hotel rooms located at the end of each trail and each spoke. They only needed 5 bays to create a GV (master bed/bath, living area, kitchen/dining, 2nd BR, 3rd BR) but they had six bays to work with so they created a game room.

You can see the results of the conversion in this floor plan. Left to right you have the master bedroom/bathroom, the game room (shows a couple of tables but this is where the pool table is located), the living area, the kitchen/dining area and the two additional bedrooms. You also get those huge rounded balconies with lounge chairs!

Hi Lisa, although we prefer Kidani over Jambo, we will be doing a grand gathering in 2013 and I think the grand villa at Jambo will work better for our group. Do you know if they have a sleeper chair in the living area as well as the sleeper sofa?

The official info on the GVs do not mention a sleeper chair and the occupancy number (12) would indicate there is no sleeper chair. I haven't stayed in one so I don't know for sure.

3-Bedroom Grand Villa
•Sleeps 12
•1 king-size bed, 4 queen-size beds & 1 queen-size sleeper sofa
•Full kitchen
•Washer/dryer
•4 full bathrooms, including master with whirlpool tub
•Available as Standard View or Savanna View

The DVC News has photos of a Jambo House GV which includes a photo of the pool table. http://dvcnews.com/index.php/resorts/animal-kingdom-villas/maps-a-photos

Also if you are looking for flexibility on sleeping arrangements, then you might want to consider the Kidani Village GV. Per the MS website:

Vacation Homes located in Kidani Village have an additional sitting area upstairs with a queen-size sleeper sofa (maximum occupancy is 12, but extra sleeper sofa adds flexibility for sleeping arrangements).

Like BLT, the GVs at Kidani actually sleep 14 (only 12 guests are permitted) by having the extra loft area. So if someone doesn't want to share a bed you have more options.

I did not verify if the chair in the living area of our Jambo GV was a sleeper but it looks like it is one and just like the sleeper chair in the Jambo 1BR.

Thanks for all the responses!

Lisa, I did see that floor plan with the two tables instead of the pool table, and that is what made me wonder whether all the GVs had the pool table. But, like you, I've always heard mention of the pool table in the Jambo House GVs. So we will keep our fingers crossed! I think it will be a big hit with our teenage boys! :thumbsup2

I would love to hear from somebody who has stayed in a Kidani GV. We are staying in one in November. When I booked, both Kidani and Jambo were available. I asked which one was one floor and had the pool table. The MS rep said Kidani. He was confused. I booked it not knowing any better. Once I figured it out, a few weeks later, Jambo was booked. I have been on the WL ever since but doubt it will come through. I am sure the Kidani GV is really nice, but the two floors and smaller dining table have me concerned about our large group (10 or 11) feeling a bit cramped.
I also have been unable to find as many photos of Kidani, especially the balconies. I love the Jambo GV balconies.

Forgot to mention to OP that I was told by MS when I called back that every Jambo GV has a pool table. The pool table room, it was explained to me, is replaced by the second living room in the kidani GV.
