Since 14 is considered an adult, will we need some kind of ID to purchase a FL resident ticket at WDW? In the past it wasn't required if parent had proof. Just wondered if it's changed with new ticketing options.

We did not need any proof for our 11DD when we got our PAPs this year but both DW and I had to show proof.

Our 15 year old son didn't need proof of ID when we activated our Fl Res Seasonal Pass vouchers last April. I think that since they're too young to have a driver's license, Disney doesn't expect an ID. :earsboy:

I have a cousin who is living in FL. She's 18 right now, but when she moved down there with my aunt & uncle, she was 14 (obviously too young for a DL but not for a state ID). They did ask her parents if she had a state ID (which she did), but they said it was ok if she didn't have one.

I just purchased PAPs for DD (17) and myself. I had to show id. She did not.

Thanks to all for replying. I think we won't worry about it.

I have had to show proof for my kids friends when they would come with us & that was at the ages of 13-16. They were asked for ID & we showed their middle school ID. All middle & high schoolers have a pic ID. I would take it with me if I were you. Better safe than sorry. I never had to showed for my kids. We started getting the seasonal pass when they were all considered children. I haven't renewed my 18 & 16yr old in 2 years now. I would imagine that my 16yr old would have to show & I know my 18yr old would. By the way, in the state of Fl, they can get their driver's permit at the age of 15, so the licence bit isn't a good excuse.

Well it depends on the kid. I am 24 and have never had a driver's permit or lisence. I hate cars...I don't know why, I just have a phobia of driving. So what may be considered a "lame excuse" to some is a very legit thing for others. Aside from WDW, I DO think it's always wise for a teen to at least have a state ID...at least if anything were to ever happen, they at least have that identification on them.
