My daughter and I are arriving on a SWA flight and my friend is arriving on a Delta flight. Our flights are scheduled to land just 15 minutes apart and we are planning to book a town car service to take us to our resort. With airlines being what they are (unpredictable), we know that delays can happen. Either of us are fine with splitting up if one of the flights is delayed and if that happens, my friend will take the town car and my daughter and I will take DME. Since my friend’s flight is scheduled to arrive later, we will give them her information and I will let them know the situation. If we end up delayed, will my daughter and I be able to take DME if I do not make a reservation for us? We have a resort reservation. Would it be better to make a DME reservation and “no-show” if everything runs on time?

Make the reservation for all of you because they schedule the buses/passengers.

I too would make the reservation for DME. Better to have a reservation (which simply helps Mears estimate how many buses they'll need around a given time) and not use it than to not have a reservation and need DME. Although I admit I've read that as long as you have a resort reservation, they'll let you ride.

All you have to do is show your resort reservation on the app and they will let you on. We fly standby as airline crew and we don't always know what flight we will be on or when we will arrive. Never had an issue.
