DME Tags but now my arrival is 1 day earlier

Hi everyone. I am going to WDW and using DME next week. Here's my question.

Originally, I booked my resort for 4 nights. I arranged my DME. Luggage tags came in mail.

I then decided to add a night, but being that it is EASTER week, only one other room at my resort was open...and it was a king, while my other res was for 2 doubles. Sooooo, I had to cancel the entire original ressie and book a totally new ressie for the 5 night stay.

I did that 2 days ago...so now there is not enough time to get my new DME tags. Same resort....different reservation.....1.day earlier.

Can I just place my original tags on my luggage and write my name on the tag? Would my luggage ever find me? I see that the tags are bar coded.

You shouldn't have any problem. You can still put your luggage tags on, especially since you didn't change your resort. But open up your booklet and find the ME phone number and give them a call and let them know you are coming a day earlier. It should be very easy and they are very nice to deal with.

you need to call DME and explain it to them and see what they say. they may be able to recode the DME information so it will work with the tags you have, but I would not try using the tags without talking to them first.
