Hello! I've visited in the past for help making our trip the best it could be for dd and have gotten great help from you guys. We were scheduled in May but unfortunately had to cancel due to dd spending 2.5mo in PICU, being trached and now using a ventilator.

I booked Nov 12th - 16th today and now I need to figure out the REAL details, lol. Our DME is local, so I don't have a network to work with. My biggest question is oxygen. She has a portable concentrator that also can run as a stationary, but unfortunately the battery life will not allow us to be out all day. I personally own three e-tanks, but that won't last us. Also, I could potentially need a backup ventilator.

Suggestions?

Even though they are local, ask them if they have any tie-ins to any supplier in the Orlando area. Most will, although independent, have a network. If that does not work, try contacting you insurance company and see if you can work with them and a supplier down here.

That's what I was going to suggest.
Even if they are small and local, they get their supplies from somewhere and probably have some tie- ins with other companies, even if only being in the same buying group.
The insurance company might also have information they can tap into for assistance, even if the insurance is just in your state or region.

I am also on oxygen and have been to Disney many times. If you have a computer go to Orlando Medical Rentals. I have used them many times and i am very satisfied with their service. They will deliver to your resort and pick up at the end of your stay. Also reasonable prices. Their phone # 1-407-944-0595. They have everything you need including extra batteries for your POC to keep you in the parks longer. Good luck.
