DME return time?

When I made my res. the CM took our flight info but when I checked it online, the flight times are not there, just the dates. I questioned this and was told that they don't put in the times???? How do they know what time to schedule our return trip? I think I missed a step somewhere...

Also, arriving a little after 9pm. Planning on getting our own luggage so we'll have it that night. Should hit ME for check in by 930ish. Is there a cut off time for checking in? We may want to grab a quick bite at MCO as everything might be closed by the time we get to the POP and check in. I don't want to miss the last shuttle of the day and end up paying for a taxi...

Thoughts? advice?

Having the flight info listed on the DME packet is hit or miss, but they've never fouled up our return trips. If you are concerned you can call while you are there to confirm that they have the right time. You will get a packet on your door the night before your departure and also can double check the info at that time. Your pick-up time will be approximately three hours before your scheduled flight departure time.

On your way in feel free to take some time to stop for a bite to eat at MCO. DME buses run 24-7, so there is no "last shuttle of the day" for you to miss. After you eat just go down to the DME Welcome Center and they will get you in a queue to your resort and on a bus. They don't allow food on the bus, however, so just plan on having your meal at the airport before you check in for the bus.

The DME buses run 24/7...there is no 'last shuttle'. Since you're headed to Pop, it's a good idea to claim your own luggage. Their luggage delivery system is not quick so if you allowed DME to deliver it to the resort, you might not get it until close to midnight..if then.

My issue is this...if you are planning on getting something to eat, you will do so on level 3 of the airport. Baggage claim is on level 2...so you will arrive on level 3, have to go down to level 2 to get your bags, then back up to level 3 to grab a bite to eat. Otherwise, you stand the risk of having your checked bags going round and round on the carousel..and that would make me nervous. I believe the food court at Pop closes at 11ish....I would just go to baggage claim, get my bags and head to the bus area. You should be at Pop no later than 10:30, at the latest. You will arrive to checkin very close to the food court area...just checkin and then walk over to the food court. Or, better yet, one adult checks in, the other takes the family to the food court and eats..they can get something for the checkin adult.

As far as flights go...you may not see them online. Wait and see what is listed when you get your DME packet. They may very well be listed there. If not, you can give the flight times to either the CM at the DME checkin counter or do it when you checkin at Pop. It's never been an issue for me.

I agree, I wouldn't even worry about the return flight until checking in for DME. The DME Welcome center will ask you if your return flight info is correct and change it if it is not. It is easy and save having to call ahead of time.

Travel safe.

Good point about the food stop and our baggage going "unclaimed" - thanks! I had not thought of that. Our last trip we ate at MCO before checking in with DME because the kids were starving but we were travelling in the AM and our bags were checked through to the hotel so not an issue.

Does POP have bellman services to bring our luggage from the bus drop off area to our room once we check in or is it self service? If self service are there luggage carts available?

The DME return to the airport is roughly 3 hours before your flight. If it is much less then someone goofed and you should get it fixed that morning (morning before checkout when you received the confirmation). Before going to the parks.

You can also make changes to the return trip preferably at least 2 days before checkout, also verifying the confirmation you get 1 day before checkoug.

They have Luggage Assistance - less personalized than Bell Services. Also, it closes at the Value resorts between about 10 PM and 5 or 6 AM. I don't know if they loan out luggage carts between those hours.

Luggage Assistence at Pop is not the best on property. Yes, there are luggage carts that you can use, but I'm not absolutely sure if they are available if Luggage Assistence is closed for the evening. I'm not sure what time they do close down.
I suppose you can ask at the Front Desk when you do checkin. You really may just want to let DME take the bags and do without them for the night. That way, they will be delivered first thing in the morning. Just pack a few carryon bags with anything you will need for that night and first thing in the morning. I can pack for a 4-5 day stay in my LL Bean rolling duffle carryon...so you should be able to pack a carryon for each adult that serves your needs.
If you do that, then tag the checked bags, let the Front Desk know that you will be going to bed, so hold the luggage delivery until the morning, then put the 'privacy please' hanger on your door so you aren't disturbed. This way you will take less time from MCO, and be able to have a somewhat relaxing bite to eat at the food court, after checking in.

Thanks all for the info. It was helpful in figuring out what we're going to do. I'm planning to pick up our own luggage and if I have to lug it to our room by myself I will, lol. I know I will be pretty revved up when we get there so I can use that energy to unpack! We are planning on hitting MK at rope drop the following morning and being gone most of the day and I want the peace of mind of knowing our bags are taken care of.

Thanks again!
