Our flight is scheduled to land at 10:00pm. We’re taking the DME to CSR. How busy is the DME at this time? About what time do you think we should expect to be at the resort? Our plan is do HS the next morning, getting there early enough to hopefully get a ROTR boarding pass, so now I’m regretting that flight time (although the earlier flights were WAY over our budget, so not much option there).

Just realized I posted this in the wrong place. Is there any way to move it. 😬

A moderator can move it and likely will.

As for MDE, it will likely be as busy as usual (it won't be dead because it's late). I would expect to be getting to the hotel around midnight. Also, if you let them check the bags through to the room you aren't going to see them for a while and may get a knock at the door at 2 AM. I would pick up the bags and take them with you, but it may add time waiting for them at MCO.

Did you repost on transportation? I can retrieve your post and move it if you haven’t

you can always report a post. A reported post notifies that board’s mods And shows the post and comments why it was reported. You can always ask us to give you a hand. :yay:

I think I put it under Resorts because I was asking what time we should expect to get to the resort, but move it to transportation if that’s better!

I saw the report function but wasn’t sure if that was supposed to be only to report abuse or whatever. Now I know though! Thank you!

The bolded is incorrect. If you land at 10 or later, they will not get your bags that night. They stop picking up bags at 10. So you would need to collect your own bags or let them go around the carousel, then someone will eventually grab them and they would (in theory) get delivered with the run the next morning.

You will have to retrieve your luggage because they don’t Pick up luggage from 10 pm to 5 am. I’d say you will probably get to your resort around 12.

Oh, Okay. When I got in once in the evening that's what they did, but I arrived at more like 8 PM so I guess before the cutoff. The Bag didn't get to me until about 2 AM or so and I wasn't thrilled about it.

When Magical Express handles your bags they aim to have them to you 3-4 hours after you arrive at your resort. If you think they may arrive when you are sleeping, tell the front desk to have the bags held until you call for them. Works like a charm.

Well, 3 to 4 hours still should have been before midnight, but I'd rather have had the bag than worry about where it is. I usually just take a carry-on or backpack anyway, but I checked to have some extra room for bringing back stuff. It was just mildly annoying.

Average DME time from airport to resort is about 90 minutes, but we often have it taken longer when arriving later in the evening. I would also tack on about 30 minutes to collect your luggage from the baggage carousel. So with that in mind, I would guess you'll arrive at the resort about 12-12:30ish.

Last March, I arrived around 10:30 PM. think we landed about 10:20, but honestly do not remember. By the time I got off the plane, stopped in the bathroom, and rode the monorail to the main building of the terminal, my bag was coming around on the carousel. I grabbed it and went to DME. There was a small line to check in, and I boarded the bus pretty much right away. I waited about 20 minutes on the bus while they loaded more people on and then off. I was the 3rd stop on the bus and by the time I got to my room, it was about midnight. I had done online check in and headed straight to my room. Some of it will depend on what stop you are for DME and how many people are on the bus when you arrive - they do try to fill them up. In September, I believe I still got to my resort about midnight or a few minutes after, but my flight landed about 30 minutes later and I was the first bus stop.
