I am traveling to DW on Feb 5 for the UDA national dance weekend. I have accommodations, not with Disney and transportation set up while I am at DW. I have to meet my group at the resort on the 5th. Is there a way to book the DME to take me to the resort when I arrive at MCO? I have noticed a number of people do not wish to take the ME to resorts, is their a way to swap ME tickets?

Not really any different then asking if a guest who isn't going to be using their resorts swimming pool can swap swimming rights with a guest staying offsite.

Nope. Each DME reservation is tied to the resort reservation.
You could ride the Mears shuttle over to a WDW resort. It's about $19. You can book it to take you to the S/D ahead of time. Or, you can pay for it when you get to MCO and then go to just about any WDW owned resort..they may even put you on a DME bus.

Thanks, I just spoke to Mears and they told me the same information; that I could purchase a round trip to the Hilton and go straight to the Resort to meet my party on the ME. :cool1:

You have to be a registered resort guest to use DME.

We are flying in to MCO and staying 3 nights @ WDW and then we'll be renting a car for another 4 days to drive to the Keys and Miami. My question is, can we take ME to our resort for the first 3 days of our trip and then take ME back to the airport to rent our car [since its much cheaper than at Disney? In other words, do you have to have a flight out on the very day of your return ME trip? I hope that makes sense. :)

Absolutely!!! Not a problem. They don't care how you arrive at MCO or leave MCO.

However, to make it simpler for booking DME, look at flight numbers and give them a flight number (it doesn't matter where it goes) that leaves MCO about 3 hours after you want to leave Disney that day. Also, to make it simpler, just one member of your party could take the DME to the airport, pick up the car, and swing back to Disney and pick up everyone else and the luggage.

That's fantastic! Thank you :)
