Our plane is supposed to arrive at 11:10. I read on the Disney website that if you arrive after 11:00, you're supposed to get your luggage yourself. However, they sent me the yellow luggage tags and didn't say anything about getting our own luggage. (We made reservations online.)

Assuming they do handle our luggage, when should we get it? I know it says allow up to 3 hours. Will they come to our room at 2:00 a.m. and wake us up (assuming we're sleeping by then)?

Anyone know? Thanks.

You have a couple of options.

1. You can leave the yellow tags off and just claim the luggage yourself.

2. You can put on the yellow tags, have Disney grab your luggage, pack pajamas, and the clothes you need for the next morning in a carryon, then go to the room and go to bed. Tell bell services, AND the front desk that you want your luggage delivered the next morning. Also leave the DO NOT DISTURB sign on your door.

(The only problem with this method is you can no longer pack shampoo, toothpaste, liquid makeup, and shaving cream in your carryon, so you either have to check a small toiletry bag without the yellow tag and pick that up at baggage claim, OR have toiletries shipped to your hotel to pick up when you arrive).

Personnally, I would Express Mail the toiletries I need for the first night to myself at the hotel, pack sleepwear, and the next mornings clothing in my carryon, and put the yellow tags on my bags. You get to the resort quicker, you go to bed, you get up and get to the parks in the morning, and your checked bags are delivered while you are at the parks.

I would leave off the yellow tags, and then go to baggage claim and grab the bags before heading to the DME check in desk. There is no way that I would want to have to wait until the next morning for my bags or risk being woken up in the middle of the night. Take the extra 20 minutes to get them yourself, and then have them put under the bus you are riding on.
