So we are now arriving LATE Saturday night, staying at Hyatt at the airport, then heading to Disney on Sunday morning. Will DME take us to SSR on Sunday or do we lose our chance if we don't use it on Saturday night. Can I just tell DME that we are arriving Sunday morning (ok - it's a fib!) and not worry about it. We'll pick up our luggage so it doesn't confuse things...
Advice?

Yes, you can take ME on Sunday. When you book, just give them a flight number from a flight that gets in early that morning. It doesn't matter where the flight is from.

It's your check in day that governs when you may take Magical Express to your resort. Some family members can arrive late.

How or when you got to the airport doesn't matter.

In Sept 09 we arrived late on a Fri night, stayed at the Hyatt and used DME Sat. morning. Before I made the DME reservation, I:

1. Considered what time we would like to leave the Hyatt Sat morning.
2. Checked participating airlines for a time that coincided with the time I chose in step 1,
and noted the flight # and airline.
3. Contacted DME with the flight # and airline.

As stated by a previous poster, as long as you have a Disney resort reservation for the day you want to use DME, you are good.

In previous trips, family members listed on our resort reservation joined us a few days after my check-in and they were able to use DME.

First of all...ALL airlines are participating as far as your arrival at MCO and DME ride to the resorts. Participation matters only for your return to MCO, if you are planning on using the RAC service. It matters not one bit as far as DME is concerned.

Okay, that being said.....it doesn't matter when you arrive at MCO. You are entitled to a ride to your resort...as long as that resort reservation is current. No, you can not take DME that Sat. You can take it on Sunday though. Have you already booked it? If not, just find some flight that arrives about the same time you plan to arrive at DME checkin. It isn't really neccesary but it does tend to keep things simpler for DME. They like to have flight info to imput, but it truly doesn't matter if it's correct or not.
Then, on Sunday morning, just take your bags with you, down to level 1 and the DME checkin area. Your bags will go underneath your bus and off you'll go. Nothing to worry about at all.

Not even. Call Bell Services, either Saturday night or Sunday morning. Put the DME tags on your luggage after you get to the Hyatt. They'll pick up your luggage from your room and get it to the DME sorting area, and it will magically appear in your WDW room a few hours after you check in and the room's ready!

Also, if you don't feel like searching for a flight that coincides with your wakeup time on Sunday morning, just tell them you don't have your flight information yet. Then when you get to the DME desk on Sunday morning, tell them your departure information and then you are all set!!
