DME question about leaving a day early

we have 1 reservation and 2 family members are leaving a day early. How do we arrange the DME to pick the 2 of them up a day early? Or is this even possible. WE are all going down the same day but they might need to leave early. We are trying to book our flights soon. Also, if it is reversed, and we book the entire week for them on the reservation but they come 1 day later then us. Can they do that. We are booking for 7 days but they are only able to go for 6, so either 1 day at start or end of trip will be cut short.

It's entirely possible. Two ways: when you check in at the Welcome Center, let the CM know of your alternate needs. Magical Express will schedule them for pickup on the correct day, and the rest of you on your check-out day. Guests with no 'issues' - i.e. who have their vouchers and probably who've checked their luggage through - are being scanned* at the line entrance and directed straight to the bus. Decline this, since you'll want to set up the special arrangements.
Or, once you're at the resort and a few days before they need to leave, call Magical Express and make the arrangements then.

We have done this many times.

IME its best to book everyone the same on the original reservation if your coming in on the same flight. Then after you check in just call DME and change the reservation for the people who are leving early. They will receive a confirmation under the door the day before they leave. Then you will receive yours the day before you leave.

As long as you have a reservation at at WDW Resort you can use DME for one round trip anyime during your stay.

It's no problem to have different arrival times or departure times for your party. When you book DME you will give them each persons arrival and departure.

They need to make sure they get their DME confirmation paper (under the door) a day before they depart. If not, or they waited until the last minute to arrange their DME bus back, they need to go down to the front desk that morning before their departure to get their DME reservations down pat (squared away).

I think the easiest is to have it right on your reservation. Why not take care of it now, and not have to worry about making changes when you get down there if you already know their flight information.
