I have a noon flight and will be taking DME from the Contemporary to MCO. Sounds like the rule of thumb is that DME will pick up around 3 hours prior to the flight. That would suggest a pickup around 9am.

I have a 7am reservation at Chef Mickey that morning. Is there any reason to think that I will have any trouble getting through breakfast in time for the DME pickup?

Thanks in advance!

Your assigned pickup time will be sometime between 8:45 and 9:15. You need to be at the platform, completely ready to go, 15 minutes before that. You'll also have to leave yourself enough time to get your carry on luggage between breakfast and leaving. You definitely won't have time for a leisurely breakfast, but you can do it.

Make sure to ask for the check when you order your drinks so you can just leave when you need to without worrying about the bill.

Also, to make your breakfast as leisurely as possible, if you're checking any bags on airlines that do resort check-in, you should do that before breakfast. That way, all you have to do is finish eating, grab your carry ons and get to the MDE pickup.

We are in a similar situation. We are staying at AKV and we have a 2:30pm flight. I am assuming a DME pickup around 11:15-11:45 and so I booked our traditional getaway day breakfast at Boma at 9:15am. We will check our bags at the RAC counter and leave our carryons with bell services and then head down to breakfast. You should be fine with the 7am breakfast, but just make sure to check your bags with RAC before breakfast.
