How many hours before your flight time does DME schedule your pickup?
Can you request a certain time?

3 hours before your flight time plus or minus 15 minutes. I don't know if you can request a later time (I wouldn't want to), but you can request an earlier time.

3 hours is what you will need to make your flight on time. It takes 35 minutes to get there. Security reports lately are saying that the wait time has been 1 hr so you will need all of your 3 hour allotment

1. 3 hours (+ or - 15 minutes) before flight departure time. Or 4 hours if you have an international flight.
2. You can request an earlier pick up, but not a later one.

Both my father and my brother (departed on different days) had no issues requesting earlier departures than assigned. They had international flights (which connected in the US so DME considered them to be domestic flights) and wanted to be there with plenty of extra time. My brother was very intrigued with the airport upon arrival and they specifically asked for an early DME so he could explore more.

Really? Because I just flew home on Monday and it literally took me 2 minutes to get through security.
All lanes were wide open for the ID/boarding pass check area and several lanes were wide open for the xray machine and body scanner area with the occupied lanes only having a couple people each in them.

I do believe you can request a certain time but I would not cut it closer than what they recommend.
You never know with traffic or if you are not the last resort to have people picked up.
I rather get there early and have time to relax.

Sometimes it just works out that way. I flew home the Monday before you and had abot a 10-15 min wait. Orlando is notorious for long security lines and they are plenty of times when they are an hour long (I have been in one of those before so I believe it!) Once in a while, they are a walkon. More normally, I seem to wait 10-20 mins. The number of switchbacks in the queue is astounding (last trip I joked that it was just like a Disney ride queue...without all the interactive fun stuff!). Just depends on flight schedules.

And no, I won't let you cut in front of me because you are running late for your plane. Failure to plan on your part should not cause me to start running behind.

Trust me at MCO it's better to arrive early and be bored than be in a long line panicking!
