DME - checking bags on the flight home

We are using DME and want to check our bags in and get boarding passes at the hotel for our flight home. Does anyone know what time that counter opens each morning at the Disney hotels (we are staying at Pop)? Are the lines crazy?

5:30 AM to 1 or 1:30 PM. You need to check your bags at least three hours, but no more than twelve hours, before your flight. And naturally, you can only do this if you're flying home on a participating airline
Crazy? I don't konw - but you should allow some extra time for all the processing, maybe twenty minutes? There are usually quite a few CMs to handle the Resort Check In line, but I've never been there at 5:30

The number of people in line really depends on the time of day. I used the baggage check-in at POR in June. I got ther about 7:30, with dd. (keep in mind that everyone in your party has to be there...it's just like checking in at the airport). There was one group ahead of us. When it was our turn it took about 15 minutes to get checked in, our bags tagged and onto the cart.
But, when we went back through the lobby area about an hour later, there had to be 50 people in line.
At POP, in August, we got in the line about 8ish and it was about 15 minutes before it was our turn. I would leave at least 30 minutes, just to be on the safe side.
And of course, you must be flying on one of the 'participating' airlines to do this.

Thanks for your replies and the info.! Our flight is at 11:15 with Delta. You would think that 11:15 was a "late" flight but when you take away the 3 hours for the DME bus, the then time to take advantage of checking your luggage at the hotel, it really makes the flight seem early! It will all be worth it not having to check the luggage in at MCO though. We have two children in strollers so that is soooo helpful!!
