Does this happen? My flight leaves at 8:30 am and according to DME rules they leave 3 hours early. So do they?

Yes. I had a flight so early once that by the time I got back to the resort from Jellyrolls, it was time to leave on the bus.

LOL :goodvibes

Yes, DME does leave that early. We try to book our return flights for a bit later in the morning/early afternoon for that reason. I once had a 4:00 am pick up, so I can truly relate! ;)

Yes you will be picked up 3 hrs before your scheduled flight, but RAC does not open until 5AM and since you have to check your luggage up to 12 hours before your scheduled flight you will need to carry your luggage onto ME and check it at MCO

RAC is open from 5AM to 12 or 1 PM each day so your flight time needs to fall within that twelve hours of their opening and closing.

I personally never take an early am flight just for the simple fact I do not want to be bothered with checking my luggage at MCO, it is just easier using RAC for luggage and boarding passes .

From what I was told by CM's at the resort, Concierge may or may not be able to check you into your flight and print your boading passes.

Remember too that you need to be at the Magical Express bus stop, ready to go, 15 minutes before your schedueld pick up time. Busses do show up early, even at that time of morning.

Actually, I thought DME picked up anywhere between 3:15 and 2:45 before you flight. So it's possible your scheduled pickup time will be 5:45A. This is what you need to hope for.

With a 5:45A pickup time, you need to be at the loading area ready to go by 5:30A. If I were you and that were the case, I'd have all my checked bags at RAC at 5AM waiting for them to open. That gives you 30 minutes to get the bags checked before being at the loading zone.

I'm not sure what you're saying here... an 8:30A flight would be about the earliest (and it's iffy IMO) you could get bags checked for. A 12:30AM flight would be about the latest (figure checking bags at 12:30PM). So that gives you 16 hours of flight time. You don't have to have your bags checked 12 hours before your flight.

You can check your bags up to 12 hours in advance before your scheduled flight time but you MUST check in at RAC 3 hours before your flight time. Rac does not open until 5 AM so if your flight is at 8AM or earlier you can not use RAC to check your bags

The flight time that I wanted to book was 7:54 AM which ME told me no I would not be able to use RAC so no cheap early flight for me, I prefer less lugging of bags and paid for a later flight

sorry for any confusion

ME phone # 1-866-599-0951 I found they explained the entire process much better than the CM @ CRO
