If I am planning to take DME from MCO do I have to take the bus to my resort? Let me explain a little further. I am staying at POR and would like to eat dinner at another resort before going to POR. If that isn't possible should I take an uber and let my bags get delivered by Disney? Thanks for your help!

1. YOUR resort, yes.
2. It's not.
3. I'd take DME to your resort (POR,) and then immediately go to the resort for dinner via another means.
(Cheaper, and your bags will then be delivered by DME.)

Which dinner resort?

Here's what worked for us... The ME bus to Pop Century stops first at Art of Animation. We're eager to start our vacation, so we get off and have lunch at Landscape of Flavors. We've done this twice.

That's not always how DME works.
They can route the buses to different resorts (sometimes only one,) depending on the number of guests who happen to be arriving at the time.

No, you must go to your resort....but, you can hop off at any resort that the DME bus stops at along the way. You will have to have your carry on bags with you though! That's kind of a pain.
I would just go to POR, drop the bags and then go to wherever you're eating at.

The only Uber you can take from MCO to Disney (or anywhere for that matter) is Uber Select (for now) or Uber Black. Both of which are about the same price as a taxi or car service (Select is a small bit cheaper)
If you have any carry on bags this is a PITA as you'd be left with those wherever it is you go. If they are small that may not be an issue but if they are not, it can be a lot to lug around.
