I just talked hubby into taking our 2 kids for their first Disneyworld trip (Yeah!) I have been to Disneyworld before but not in about 8 years and before kids. I am looking at booking our flights. If we book an early flight home (10:45 am), what time would the bus come to pick us up for the airport? If we took a taxi instead of the bus, about what time would we need to leave for the airport? We are staying at the AKL and this would be on a Sunday morning. Also, about how much does a taxi from AKL to MCO cost? I am so sorry if these questions have been answered a million times before and thanks in advance!

For a departure time of about 10:45am, you would be given a DME pickup time of about 7:45ish...give or take 15 mins either way. If you were to decide to not use DME and go the 'private' route, a cab would cost about $50 or so. A private car service would be about the same. You want to leave WDW and get to MCO with about 2 hrs to spare..that's what MCO recommends, and with security sometimes taking a lot of time, that's not a bad idea. So, with a cab or car service, you would want to leave your resort by 8:15 or so. Many people leave two hours before flight departure, in your case that would be 8:45 but I don't like to cut it that closely.

I would recommend booking a car service vs using a cab...much nicer way to end your trip.

Using DME your pickup time will be 3 hours before your scheduled flight time, so you should be at the pickup location by 7:30am.
By taxi you would probably want to leave no later than 8:30am, to allow for 30 to 40 min travel time, checking your bags and getting your boarding passes, getting through security (at times can take up to 30 min) and out to your gate, with enough time to grab a bite to eat before boarding.
Cost of cab will be approx $50-$60.

the magical express will pick you up at about 8am no taxi that will cost you money me free

if you are looking for more sleeping time, you wont gain much and IMO, just use DME back to the airport. If you are just wanting to end the trip in a more relaxed, 'special' way, as the PP's have said, get a towncar service.
