DME and luggage

So, I don't have any experience with this, but in June I'm going on my first ever solo trip. Because I am alone, I do plan on using DME and luggage services.

My flight lands at 11:55 am. I suspect I'll be starving, so I want to grab a bite to eat in the airport before heading down to DME. When does Disney pick up our luggage? Is it when the plane is at the gate or is it when we check into DME?

I feel like I should know the answer to this....

Not sure I understand the question, but if you've checked bags and placed the appropriate yellow tags on them, those bags will be pulled when your plane lands and put on a truck to your resort.

As far as I know, all luggage (whether it has DME tags on it or not) gets taken to the same area, where the MCO luggage handlers set aside the bags with DME tags, then DME picks up the luggage from there to take to the hotels. It has nothing to do with when you check in at DME.

When the flight lands, you hop off and go about your business. Your DME tagged bags will be grabbed as they come off the plane, and put aside. All the tagged bags will be taken to resort appropriate luggage trucks, and then delivered to your resort. Once you hand your DME tagged checked bags off at your home airport, you won't see them until you get to your resort room.
Landing at 11:55 will get you to your resort around 1:15-1:30. Your bags should be in your room around 4ish.

Got lucky on my last trip. Landed at MCO at 10:30 AM and resort by noon. Dropped carry on at the room and went to food court for lunch. Toured the resort a bit and went back to the room around 1 and the bags were already there.
