DME and flight that arrives at 9:25pm

Our flight is scheduled to arrive t 9:25pm. I was planning on packing pajamas and toiletries in a carry on. If we arrive before 10pm I know they will collect our luggage for us. Will they keep it until morning if we ask, or would they deliver it as late as 1am? I'm traveling solo with 3 kids so I would prefer to let them transport.

Your choice, yes, and yes (let them deliver it ca 1 AM or make a request down at the front desk to hold it until morning).

Exception: All Stars, Pop Century, and Art of Animation, delivery in the morning is the only way.

We are at All Star Sports so the morning it is..I will pack an outfit for the next day as well in a carry on..

Pack what you'll need for the night and the next day...just in case. Then, when you get to AS Sports, tell them you want your bags held until the morning. Be sure to stop by the Luggage Assistance area and let them know as well. When you get to your room, hang out the 'privacy please' hanger on your door. That way, there will be no mistakes......you will most likely see a blinking light on your phone in the morning, alerting you to a new message, that your luggage is there.

Can I highjack this thread to ask a similar question? I also have a flight that comes in at 9:25pm but we're from Canada so we need to collect our luggage ourselves before boarding the Magical Express. Do we hand over our luggage & then they delivered (the next morning since we're staying at Pop) or can we keep it with us in the bus?

If I order stuff from Garden Grocer will bell services deliver it that night or not till the next morning?

Bell services wouldn't deliver at POP, but it would be waiting at bell services for you to claim after you check in. Bell services is right next to the main entrance at pop. It's also handy as you can borrow a cart to help get your luggage and grocery order to the room at the same time. If your on the meal plan, the food service should still be opened to get your drink cups as you return the cart.

The first sentence as shown above is not always true ergo it is false.

But YMMV.

If you need to clear or re-clear customs in Orlando then you must collect your bags in the customs station. Then, if it is after 10 PM there is no Magical Express delivery. Prior to 10 PM you may optionally put the bags on the other conveyor belt for DME delivery.

If you pre-cleared customs in Canada or cleared customs at a connecting point in the US and also don't need to stop at the Orlando customs station then if your plane docked in Orlando before 10 PM yellow tagged bags will be delivered to your resort and won't be seen at the carousels.

Occasionally at the customs station the agent won't let you take your bags out with you, Yellow tagged bags will be delivered to the resort if it is before 10 and you must go to the carousel if it is after 10.

If you go to the carousel to collect bags and don't find them then file a claim with your airline before leaving that area.

You should collect groceries as soon as possible especially if some need refrigeration. But verify that the room refrigerator is working first.

Yes. Do NOT put tags on them (just in case there's confusion and you actually "pre-clear" customs).

Where are you flying out of? Most major Canadian airports have you go through US customs there...you won't do it in Orlando, you'll just get off the plane and walk to DME.

If you want access to your bags that night, since you're getting in fairly late, do not use your DME luggage tags. When you get off the plane, collect your bags at baggage claim and head to DME, where the bags will go on the bus with you. (It's a nice gesture to tip the driver in that case, for loading and unloading the bags.)

You do have the option of using the luggage tags and having DME collect your luggage, however. I'm Canadian and have done it multiple times (we go through customs at YYZ on the way to MCO) and it's worked just fine.
