DME and Flight Number

When I made my reservations for DME I gave them my flight number leaving Dayton. However, I was just sitting here thinking that I have a layover in Charlotte. Should I have given DME my flight number from Charlotte to MCO or was it ok that I gave them my Dayton departing flight number?

I had a similar issue as they had the wrong flight# home, I called them, gave her the correct number and she typed into her computer and she knew EVERYTHING, time it leaves where to goes to, time of flight. I was told they do track them from your DEPARTURE city, they will know if it has layovers delays etc........
