I'm sure this has been answered before, but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone know if there is an age minimum for riding from the airport on DME? We have a family member who will be 15 at the time of our trip and who may have to arrive at MCO at a different time than everyone else. He is a bright kid and would easily find his way to DME to get to the resort, but I don't know if he would be allowed on the bus without a parent or chaperone.

Thanks!

FYI - A person must be 18 or older to travel on DME alone. If an unaccompanied minor arrives at another time and needs to use DME to get to the resort, DME will provide an adult a transfer from a Disney resort back to the airport to meet the minor and then go back to the resort.

Thanks for posting the answer.

Too many people just go back and edit their post and delete everything and say "found my answer" now others can see this.

Though back to your OP I thought people have posted that they have had their 16 year children travel alone.

Disney doesn't ask DME guests for photo ID. Posters with mature kids, who are experienced in traveling alone have let them take DME without checking with Disney.

A child who is able to old enough to fly without requiring unaccompanied minor treatment is certainly old enough to figure out DME.

It's nice to know Disney will transport an adult to the airport to meet a minor child. Good for parent with kids who fly as unaccompanied minors as well as parents who follow every rule.
