Okay considering doing the Dlx DP. This is what I have come up with so far and would love your opinions:

Epcot day:
breakfast: Storybook
dinner: Tepan Edo - must do for DD

AK day 1:
breakfast: Tusker before park opening
dinner: Whispering Canyon

AK day 2:
early lunch: Yak & Yeti
dinner: Flying Fish

MK day 1:
breakfast: Crystal Palace before park opening
lunch: Plaza
dinner: Ohana

MK day 2:
breakfast: Castle (late breakfast if possible)
dinner: Narcoosees

HS:
breakfast: H&V before park opening
dinner: Brown Derby (Fantasmic package if available)

Arrival day:
dinner: Hoop de Doo

Departure:
breakfast: Ohana

this would leave us each with 1 credit left
If we get in early then we would probably grab a CS at the food court

Am I crazy to consider staying at POP with this dining plan?

I would love any comments that you have on this.

My DD is not a big eater, but that makes it even more important that she needs to eat every couple of hours.

I need to eat gluten free and feel that it would be easier to do at many of the signature dining places than the others.

All TS restaurants have foods to accommodate your dietary need. Just make sure you let the podium know when you check in so the server knows to have the chef make a table visit

The only problem with doing deluxe dining while staying at POP is all of the travel.
Will you have a car?
If not, look carefully at your plan and make sure that it works in terms of getting to and from. After dinner at a resort, for example, may easily take you 60-90 minutes to get back to your hotel.

No we are not planning on having a rental car. On most days (not AK) we do afternoon breaks back at the resort. So on our MK 1 day we would probably leave after our lunch at the Plaza. We would go to Ohana and then back to MK if we felt like it. I have no problem using a cab a few times during our vacation. On our 2 AK days we would probably go to our reservation right from the park for an early dinner and then take a bus to DTD for a little shopping and then back to the hotel. Ohana, Narcoosees and Hoop De Doo are all pretty easy to get back to MK and take a bus back. On the days we are doing a breakfast and then just a dinner it would be an early dinner reservation.

Is one of the other value resorts better for travel. Had considered POR FQ, but that doesn't seem like it would be much better. Not sure if the increased cost of a moderate would be worth it for us and my daughter loves POP. Since it is just the 2 of us a value isn't that bad.

Any other thoughts on how I have things arranged or if I have made good choices using Dlx. A few of them are options that DD really wants (Tepan Edo and Whispering Canyon). I believe this plan has us coming out ahead too.

I think your plan looks great, thanks for posting it! I am doing the Deluxe dp as well when we go, and I am trying to work on something similar :)

Plan carefully for your arrival day. If you're getting to the World early HDDR is a great choice for your first night, but if there is ANY possibility of late arrival at HDDR due to resort transportation snags, flight delays, etc. it's not a good idea to have a meal/show booked that has a 48 hour or 24 hour cancel policy for the first night.

Otherwise your plans look great!

Great thank you for the advice. We haven't booked our flights yet as the offerings aren't very good yet. Usually as we get a little closer more flight options seem to open up. In the past we have been able to get in around noon, so I figured that would get us to resort by 2:00 or so. I was hoping that we would be able to make an early HDDR. That could easily be switched with Whispering Canyon though I think. As I said I really don't mind taking a cab at Disney once in awhile either. If we were running late and couldn't wait for a bus I would just take a cab. I really don't mind the bus system, but sometimes you just don't want the hastle and the cabs are a nice option.

I figured that my choices and travel really wouldn't be that bad and not having many days with 3 TS are a plus.
