DLRHotel morning walk to parks

We will be staying at the Disneyland Hotel and we’re wondering what time we should leave in the morning to give ourselves ample time to make it for rope drop?

Its a fairly short walk. I'd give it 15 minutes.

I agree - it is a short walk so 15 minutes should be good including the elevators.

Both days we were there security opened exactly at 7:02. Giving folks enough time - 2 minutes - to try to get boarding passes before going through the scanners....

if you are at security by 7:00 AM you should be at the main gates by 7:15 AM. A small line may form on Downtown Drive just south of the DTD security entrance so join that line otherwise security will hold you until those in the line have gone to security (at least that was our experience this past week).

The entrances on the Harbor side seemed to open by 7:15 AM so you’ll want to be at the main gates no later than 7:15 AM to avoid that rush.

Also, the main gate entrance turnstiles at the far left and right at Magic Kingdom often said “Exit Only” but were soon changed to entrances as well.
