Yesterday, 12 of my family members and I all went to DL for a day. Though 13 people and a busy holiday season sounds like a disaster, most of the day went smoothly. Here's a basic run-down of the day because I'll upload pictures when I got home and I'll write a real TR:

-Arrived at DL's gates at 8:15AM, my family and I left the park at 10:30PM (everyone else left a little earlier)
-I rode 17 rides (i think, off the top of my head) and the new Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough
-Saw Mickey Mouse and toured all of his friends' houses
-Saw the Christmas Fantasy Parade
-Used 6 sets of FP (I am such an excellent FP runner!)
-Ate at Stage Door Cafe and Redd Rockett's Pizza Port
-Was exhausted by the end of the day

So much fun! :yay:

I know you were stressed about it. I'm glad it worked out so well! It sounds like you had a great time!

How fun!!!!! I'm glad it went so well for you!!

Glad you had a great time! We are here this week as well and the weather has kept the crowds down most days--except yesterday. But, it seems you did a great job of negotiating the parks, especially given the size of your group!

I'm glad you had a successful trip. But then again, I knew you would because you're such a DLR pro!!!!

Happy to hear that it went well. I know you were excited and nervous for it at the same time. Will def catch your TR :)

We also saw Guy Fieri (sp?) a few times with a big camera crew. We will be looking out for a Disneyland special on the Food Network. Ooh, maybe we're in a shot or two!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!!!

Guy's DLR Holiday Food Special is supposed to air on Food Network next November, according to what others who saw Guy over the weekend have said. It sounds like he must still be filming segments for the special, and that he has been seen in the parks over the course of a few days beginning this past weekend. I know he did the candy cane segment at Candy Palace, and he was seen at Napa Rose, so chances are he did a segment there too. But I am dying to see the special because I want to see where else he goes! People usually focus on WDW in specials, and DLR is often forgotten. I think a lot of DLR dining/food is underrated, and people still view it as being like the DLR food of, say, 1987 or something, which was BAD, and it has vastly improved since then. So I am glad Guy is making this special - especially focusing on holiday items or meals. I wonder if he took his son to one of the character meals too?? November is such a long time to wait for the special!!!!! That is like an eternity!

I was approached in DL on Sunday night to do a dining survey but it was contingent on any meals I had eaten in the parks THAT DAY, and we had only eaten at Goofy's Kitchen that day so that didn't count since it was outside of the parks themselves! I couldn't participate! I wonder if they were asking food-related questions because Guy was filming his DLR Food special and they wanted to gather information to pass on that he can include in the show??

I'm back and currently uploading pics. The Photo TR though might take a couple days considering tomorrow is new years eve and then new years, so I'll be pretty busy. Hpefully i can find some time to squeeze it in though.

I started the Trip report and oh my, I had so many pictures that the morning itself took 3 posts. Check it out!
