I am a big tap water drinker at home (Sydney water). I remember 3 years ago when we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel the tap water tasted awful and because I am a cheapskate and didn't want to pay for bottled water, I'd melt a bucket of ice each night to fill up our bottles in the morning (the water to make the ice must have been filtered or something because it tasted fine).

We're staying at the Camelot Inn this time and I assume they have the same tap water as DLH. So was wondering, anyone who's been to DLR recently, did the tap water taste ok? I am thinking of taking some bottled water in my suitcase otherwise (if I can fit it in). Or hope the hotel has ice machines!

We didn't have any issues with the tap water at all. I did read before we went last year that the tap water tasted funny so we should buy bottled, so we did. But I did end up drinking tap water anyway and I had no issues with it at all, neither did the kids :confused3

I have a problem drinking water in SoCal. But then we have filter water on tap at home. I usually take about 3 - 4 days to acclimatise the the water taste and smell; and then I'm happy to drink tap water.

But then I have a problem drinking tap water in NSW anyway (no offence to anyone - it really is ME!!). :rotfl:

How about getting Von's to deliver some bottled water. Can't remember who, but someone on the boards has had delivery without any problems, using the hotel address.

i never buy bottled water :cool2:

its one of my rules

except for when i was in india :rotfl:

if the water is no good at wdw ill just drink the beer :cool1:

The tap water was much nicer chilled. We would refill our bottles and keep them in the fridge. I could drink a few mouthfuls straight out of the tap, but not a large glass like I would here at home.

We actually found the water to be as good if not better than what we have at home, but if you are concerned that you won't like it or it won't agree with you, bottled water is really cheap in the US. We got 12 bottles of water from Target on South Harbor Boulevard for $3.99 US.

Have a great trip! :goodvibes

I was thinking of getting bottled water from the closest shop when we arrive. Unless you want to put some for me in your bag too!

I had a couple of 10 litre cask things that sat on the bench top in the sink area delivered from Vons (along with some other things so had free delivery) and it was only about $3 I think for the 10 litre cask from vons. We just then filled up our little bottles :thumbsup2

If there is a supermarket near by you could do the same or just order from vons and have it delivered if you need other groceries. They have specials with free delivery all the time.

We refilled our bottles with tap water all the time. I don't remember having any issue with the taste.

Sounds like the water has gotten better since we were there last...thanks for all the responses.

We were there a few weeks back and DLR water was fine. Whilst at DLR we didn;t really notice the smell or tatse of the water at all.

Compare that to WDW water which has the strangest smell, real musty odour. We ended up going to a local store and picked up a slab of water for a few dollars.
