DLR Vet needs help with WDW vacation...

It's been many years since I've been to WDW and with all the dining plan changes, I'm completely lost, so I was hoping someone would be kind enough to help.

There will be 3 adults in the group and we'd like to dine at the following sit-down restaurants:

Cinderella's Royal Table, Yak & Yeti, 50's Prime Time Cafe, Brown Derby (lunch with an imagineer), 9 Dragons, Le Cellier, Hoop-Dee-Doo, Jiko, O'hanas, and Chef Mickey's.

We'll be at WDW for 7 nights/8 days.

Would the dining plan save us money? With so many sit-down restaurants for our stay, I'm sure the rest of our meals would be counter service. Is there an easy answer to my question, or do I need to sit down with some menus and price everything out? The dining plan is so much more confusing than the last time I visited, and the DLR dining plan isn't much of a deal, so I never do that one either. I feel so lost!!

After a quick glance it looks like you have 14 TS Meal Credits already used. You might find that the Deluxe DDP is your best bet. That would give you 21 meal credits, so you would be covered with 7 more meals to come. The question only you can answer is "How will your party eat at the TS?" Will you get apps, entrees, and dessert? or just an entree and water. Take a look at the menus and prices and estimate what you would probably do.

Dinner at Le Cellier can vary from $20 (Seared Free-Range Chicken - Served over sweet corn pudding and roasted fall vegetables finished with mushroom broth.) which is quite tasty to over $50 (Prince Edward Island Mussels, 14 oz New York Strip Steak, Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake + drink).

Add up your estimates and compare it with the $220/day for the Deluxe plan.

BTW, I would add the Marrakesh if you do the plan good food and entertainment.

Thank you so much! I had trouble figuring out how many credits it would be. Now I'm seriously thinking of doing the more expensive dining plan and picking out some more restaurants.

CRT, HDD and Jiko all use two credits. Lunch with an Imagineer is not on DDP as it is a special event and the price quoted does include gratuity as well as tax. And I don't know if Y&Y is on DDP yet.
