Were planning our 1st DLR trip for June 2012, and Im in the beginning of my planning process. I would really love to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, but not sure its going to fit into my budget.
My question is this. I priced a DLR vacation package for 5 nights (Jun 17-22) at the Disneyland Hotel (standard view, no dining plan) with 4-day park hopper tickets (3 adults), and the priced quoted was $3,083.00.
I then checked the prices for booking hotel and purchasing tickets separately. The hotel cost using the same dates and room level was $2,000.00. The price for a 4-day park hopper at disneyland.com is $234.00. So, my total cost booking separately is $2,702.00 ($234 x 3 + $2,000).
What am I missing? Why is there an almost $400 difference? What do you get with the vacation package that you dont when purchasing separately?
