DLR Shopping List?

For months I've been making a shopping list in my head of things I want to buy at DLR.
My list:
More Mickey Mouse/Disney earrings
A new lanyard for work
A few pins to wear to work
And maybe some music from the parks and some sort of Disney art work.

These things have been on my mind for a long time. Anyone else have things you are looking for when you get there? What stores should I check for music and art? I can think of a couple, but there might be more I'm not thinking of.

On this trip, I'm hoping to have time to go shopping/browsing a little more than I usually get to. the only female in the family, the others are not as interested as I am. DH and the boys are not as interested as I am. They do some, but I always feel rushed.
What are your favorite stores in general and why? Anything new or unusual at DTD I should not miss?

I'd check Off The Page in DCA. $$$ Lots of sculptures.

Probably Disneyana and Disney Gallery in DL.

How many boys do you have? I feel the pain on the shopping thing, though mine are too young to protest too much yet :)

The only thing I really want but couldn't find was a Captain Jack shirt for my little guy. I might have to custom order one.

Two boys who are almost 18. I can send them off and maybe talk my DH in to a little shopping. ;) When the POTC movie came out and they had just redone the ride to match the movie, I tried everywhere to find a POTC mug. I enjoy drinking my coffee in DL mugs. Can you believe they didn't have one? :confused3

It is weird the holes they have in Disney merchandising. All the POTC stuff for little guys has Mickey on it which is super cute, but when you have a son named Jack something that says Cap'n Jack would be fun to have. Maybe they think the real POTC stuff is too dark for the littles?

Not even in Pieces of Eight?

Mind if I join? here's my list:

new charm for my bracelet
Mickey halloween votive candle holders
Something Jack Skellington- maybe a mug?
Mickey sprinkles for cupcakes

For dd:
Duffy bear
Disney Nerds backpack
charm for her bracelet
t-shirt

For ds:
t-shirt
vinylmation

My must haves are:

Picture frame
Mug (not a travel, just regular)
Mickey Mouse lollipops
Something that ties into the season/holiday that we are there

However, I never stop there (even though DH wishes that I would! :rotfl:)
I usually also end up buying:

A few pins
Magnet(s)
Hat for each DS
And anything else that I might like! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Nope. :sad2: I can't remember if it was still the pirate store or if it had already changed to the villian store, but it wasn't there.

Fun to see other people's lists! :goodvibes

Something else I would love to buy but I know they don't have: Disney nail decals. I wish they had little Mickey Mouse heads but I'm sure the demand for that isn't great. :rotfl:

I would buy them! :goodvibes I actually just bought a nail art pen at Walmart the other day to do Mickey Mouse heads on my nails. They come in all sorts of colors (I bought black), and they are like a Sharpie for your nails. :thumbsup2

Have you discovered the DISign Boards yet? I know I've seen POTC there that people have designed. You can search through what people have done and they can add your son's name and you can make a t-shirt iron on for him. I've had several things "DISigned" for me to our upcoming trip.

Here's a link to that thread:

And there is no charge by anyone who is willing to DISign something for you.

I've seen those and almost bought black too just for that reason! Does it work well? One year I used black acrylic paint, but I can't find my paints now for some reason. Last year I bought some nail decals and used little gems to make a "hidden Mickey". I'm trying to think what to do this year. If you liked that pen, I may have to go get one. I should start another thread with pics of my "Disney nails". :goodvibes

I haven't tried it yet, but was planning on testing it out this afternoon. I will let you know how it goes! :goodvibes And pics of your "Disney nails" would be fun.:thumbsup2

Ooh I'd love to see how it turns out too!

A couple of years back I got a pedi before going to DL and asked the lady for a Mickey head instead of the flower she was going to do and she looked at me funny and asked me what that was so I got the flower. A pen or decals would have been great at that time. :thumbsup2
