Hi, everyone. We are coming to Cali for Spring Break. I am coming with my MIL, DH, DD(7), DS(6), and DS(3). We usually do WDW, but this year, we are doing San Diego, Legoland, DLR and LA. Anyways, I was just looking for some recommendations. Is there any restaurants in DLR that you would suggest we not miss or I read something about special dining seating to see Fantasmic or the fireworks or something like that. Also, is there a list of characters that you usually can find?

Oh, another question... we will only be at the park one day, but we are coming to Anaheim the night before, so 1) would you do Fantasmic or World of Color or could you do both? and 2) is there anything not inside the park that we could do the night before? :confused3

If you have time the night before you should go to the parks. 1 day is a highlight tour. That would be like going to WDW and only going to DHS. There is too much in DLR to see and do in one day on Spring Break.

You can see two or all three night shows. Remember Dreams Come True is a much better firework show than wishes.

You see WoC first, leave immediatly and see RDCT then the late F!. It will allow you good view, ok view, good view.

While I would suggest dining at Blue Bayou, I would not suggest you do any slow TS meals. There is a dessert package for F! with seating. It's time consuming and probably not something to try.

You should read,
The DLR guide for WDW vets, the WoC Superthread, and the F! Superhtread.

Spring break will be packed. FIgure out how to use Fast Pass for your fave rides, and dont plan on seeing/doing everything if its just one day. Try NOT to go on Friday.
Ive seen Aladin twice, both times were good seating- just walked in.
Just went last week to preferred seating for WOC. Had dinner at Wine COuntry to get the seats (Actually its all standing) and it actually seemed like the show was better from farther away. Again though, you'll be in a huge crowd.
Cafe Orleans (NEar Pirates) has walk up GOOD FOOD. If the seats are all full you can take your tray and sit on the walls around the water. Handy if you happen to miss your ressie at a sit down.
Im sorry to say that if you plan to stand in line to see many characters you could end up using your whole day doing that. :( Id pick my kids top choice and just do that, and be thrilled if you bump into others.
A tip of mine: If you have little kids and are in the park when its PACKED use the train and cars to move around as much as you can. Walking in that crowd of people trying to hang on to tiny hands takes some time.
Have fun!!

In this link is a general list of where characters are.

If you are going on a Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday, I would make a reservation for 50 minutes before DL opens for the Minnie and Friends Breakfast at the Plaza Inn. It has a great selection of characters, and if you eat in 45 minutes you won't wast any park time.

I think you need at least 2 days for this, especially during this time frame. There's no way you can do everything you'd like to do in 1 day. I would go 1 day and see the fireworks and F! and then the following day do WoC. But that's just my opinion on that. :)

I highly suggest a meal at BB, I would do lunch at the 11:30 am seating, get there at least 15 min early and request waterside seating. It's a good meal with huge portions, the cost is high but you're eating inside the PotC ride! Not much to beat that! I wouldn't suggest any other TS dining options, even with 2 days (should you so decide). There are plenty of good CS places to eat that won't take up your valuable time.
