Hello, we're heading to Anaheim in 9 days and I'm looking for advice on how best to do some particular rides that I know are very popular. It will be me, my hubby and our 3 girls- 10, 8 & 5. (The 5 year old just hit 42 inches!) 2 years ago when we went both Matterhorn and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad were closed so we want to do those two rides for sure. Plus somehow we did not get to Splash Mountain or Space Mountain! What ride should we line up for first? Which ones can we get Fast Passes for?
Thanks in advance!
Lisa

You can fastpass space mountain and splash mountain. The one I'd knock out first is Matterhorn, if you head straight to it when the park opens you can knock it out, then Big Thunder mountain, then fast pass the others. You shouldn't have too much trouble being able to hit all four in a single day.

You want to do a Grand Mountain Tour :)

Space, Splash, and Big Thunder all have Fast Passes. Matterhorn does not.

My general plan, in your case, would be:

Get there at Rope Drop on a DCA Magic Morning (thereby slowing crowds just a smidgen).

Line up at the rope for Tomorrowland.

Head for the left side of Tomorrowland.

Mom and kids head to Matterhorn (just walk along the side of it to get in line).

Meanwhile, Dad grabs a FP for Space Mountain. (It will be a FP for not-too-much later!) Dad meets family already in line at Matterhorn.

Ride Matterhorn as a family.

Your FP window will likely be open for Space Mountain... but ignore it! ;)

Send Dad or Mom over to get FPs at Splash.

Rest of the family heads to Big Thunder. FP-runner will meet family there to ride.

Then use your FP for Space Mountain. (Should still be in time frame.)

Then use your FP for Splash Mountain. (Should be in time frame.)

That is a precision guided assault plan on the "mountain" rides! :earboy2:

Thanks so much for the detailed advice! I appreciate the time & effort you both put into your response
