DLR Pin Code

We just got back from a spectacular DLR vacation, and I discovered that Disney had e-mailed me a Pin Code for a discounted rate on DLR hotels for a return visit in 2010.

My question - is this something they do regularly for all folks who stay in their hotels, or is it fairly rare? I thought I remembered reading that Pin Codes after a WDW vacation are fairly rare, but I didn't know about DLR.

I wouldn't say they were rare, but more like random. People have posted many times about PINS they got and there is no rhyme or reason. For instance, it wasn't just AP holders, non locals or recent guests. I don't think any of us (even pooling together all our facts) could figure out how Disney comprised their list of who got which PIN codes.
