DLR Meet

Cowboys_Girl and I will be at DLR May 6th - May 11th and would LOVE to meet with other DIS/VMK members

We will post more information as the time gets a little closer, but we just wanted to throw it out there now, so if you *want* to meet with us ... you can pencil it in now

We are both VERY excited to be going and to meet with friends

Well, I've gotten a few whines, shakes of the head, reiterance that I'm semi-retired thus CAN do this, but basically the go ahead, hehe. Of course, the man's been in the hospital all weekend with nothing to do but remember my good qualities and that I'm not poking him with needles every couple hours, so why would he want to deny me?

As disappointed as I am that we won't be there all day the 12th, it would take more miles to come home Sun or Mon. I hope you're not planning to leave early Sat am, because I plan on staying out late Fri night! Would 1:00 be too late to drop me off at the airport (or is that presumptuous that you might do that)?

Now, to find a Jazzercize class... BAD chocolate!!

Car ..... we are checking out on the 11th I have to have the car back to the rental agency on the 12th before noon

But, our check out time is not till noon on the 11th, so I guess we can hangout a bit more and then head back Have to get with Stacey on this

How in the world have I missed this thread since whenever?!?! I happened to be on the board on my phone at work today and it was shown on the main page because it was the newest updated community thread. Anyway that's how i finally found this conversation you all have been having.

Drat Car we had to change to leaving on the 11th because the rental car place is closed on Sunday so we would have had to pay for an extra day since it could not be returned on Sunday. I hope to you can/will come anyway. It will be close enough to your birthday that, from what I've read, you can still get the sticker or whatever and any special treatment you are entitled to.

I can't believe how stupid excited I am already, LOL!

Oh I'm not worried about a sticker and what little Disney does. It's just MY mentality, this year only really, that will be different on the actual day or day before. And knowing all the full time workers will have a more difficult time fitting in a mid week greet. Disney is a minor part of the trip to me, meeting my vmk friends is what I'm looking forward to (and perhaps a day at the beach). I would say to change the rental to Tues-Tues, or Mon - Mon (not that you'd stay that long at DLR), but this is YOUR trip I'm invading so I can't say that.

I have to wait for my mom to get out of the hospital Thurs (hopefully) before I can check on using her free air voucher. Otherwise there are some decent flights on NWA which we have miles for. What airports should I be using? My mom's is Midwest so they're pretty limited. My husband's is NWA. What time do you expect to arrive the first day?

Well I do know that Tigger is picking the car up Sat, and then she is picking me up sometime on Sunday morning and it's about 4-5 hours to Anaheim depending on traffic, how the grapevine is (weather and traffic depending) and so on. The earlier she can get to Fresno to get me the better I say, I like to get there already.

As far as airports, I know your choices are something like, LAX, Ontario, Long Beach, and Orange County. I think Burbank has an airport too. I honestly do not know which is best to fly into, I would say try them all and whatever has the best times, price, etc...

Is there someplace i can see where these airports are? I did a search and it only showed a couple I think.

Orange County/John Wayne (SNA)

I know THAT... but I want OPTIONS, especially if I use my mom's FF on Midwest who doesn't go to SNA, and a map with details. Maybe I just didn't look hard enough bc I figured I wouldn't be going. But, you're right, I don't use Google much.
