What are some not to be missed treats that are special to DLR during the holiday season? We will be there on the first day of the Christmas season and I'm wondering if there is anything I should make a point to get. Is there anything to avoid (ex: looks cute, but tastes dry)? I've been in the mood for a good gingerbread cookie. How are those?

You know I always loved the pumpkin fudge but I went a couple of weeks ago and they didn't have any...I really hope they are going to

I don't if they still have it, but I am a huge fan of the Peppermint hot fudge sundae!

The gingerbread beignets are the first things I will be buying this year if they have them, those sound heavenly!!!

That sounds good! I didn't know about those.

I'm looking forward to trying the gingerbread bignets too. I really hope they have them. We are eating at CO on our first night in the park because I am hoping to try them. (Along with the Pomme Frites and MC).

Peppermint hot fudge sundae sounds like my 9yo DS gift from heaven! I hope something is offered like this for dessert at Blue Bayou.

We got the Peppermint Sundae at the Gibson Girl on Main Street. We were intending to have it for breakfast (vacation and all), but they didn't open until 11:00, it was delicious! And I know I can get a peppermint sundae at BR, but it tastes so much better on Main Street!!!:goodvibes

:rotfl:The gingerbread cookies are delish! DD didn't like hers so I had to eat two

Pumpkin fudge, please bring me some....LOL :) I liked the Gingerbread cookies.

Peppermint fudge is my favorite holiday treat. This year I plan on trying a gingerbread mickey cookie for the first time.

Are the places that have the normal beignets, the ones that have the gingerbread versions? I'm going to keep an eye out for those!

We were able to buy pumpkin fudge at Poohs Corner Oct 30th even when the Candy Palace was sold out. If the gingerbread begnets are half as good as the pumpkin ones all the holiday visitors are in for a real treat!!!

We managed to try just about all of the Halloween treats and special meals but the one that I just loved was the Frankenweenie! It was delish and the folks at AW told us they are trying to get it continued past Halloween because it has been so popular. The biggest dissapointment was the Holiday sandwich as EoS. Mushy and not vey flavorful, if you ask me. In fact nothing at EoS was good enough to try them again. The breakfast sandwich of eggs cheese and bacon was decent at the 25% off price but at full price I'll probably pass in the future. Stay away from the potato salad at all costs, it was just plain nasty.

What is the Frankenweenie? Sounds like it should be a hot dog of some sort but I am guessing I am wrong?

It's a hot dog wrapped in bacon smothered in grilled onions with barbque sauce on a yummy specialty bun (not sure what it was but it was delicious). My DD hates hot dogs and loved this creation.

I was wondering the same thing?

Also, are their specialty cocoas or hot ciders in the park during the holidays?

Had a Carmel Apple Cider last week that was excellent and a Pumpkin Spiced Latte that was equally as good. Didn't have any hot coco sorry!

Oh no! I was going to try the holiday sandwhich at EoS. I'd love to hear some more thoughts on that from other people. I wonder if that is one time fluke or normal for the sandwhich.

Now I think I need to try those beignets, the gingerbread cookie, and maybe the peppermint sunday. I love chocolate and peppermint. I'm only there for 2 and half days this time. Don't know how I'm going to eat this much!
