DLR Closed to Locals on Sunday's??

Is this true?
I have friend who just got back last weekend, from a 3 day visit, traveling from here, Reno, Nevada.
She said the park was Insanely busy on Monday, but was NICE and Slow on Sunday, because it was closed to locals....

I am wondering if this a particular Pass that is not honored on Sunday's?

Just curious, as I have not heard anything about this!

The SoCal select pass is blacked out on Sundays. The regular SoCal pass is not. It's certainly not closed to locals, just locals who have one specific pass.

And we've found Sundays in general to be pretty busy because of the other passes that are valid that day.

I was there on Sunday the 25th (Also visiting down there from Reno!) and it was PACKED. One of our busiest days during our six days there. I think it's just hit or miss right now.

The new tiers of APs have already taken effect. But there are scores of passholders who hold valid passes for quite some time still. I know I bought Premium vouchers and don't intend to use them until December. So mine won't expire until December of 2016.

I just wanted to clarify something here...the So Cal Select (lowest level) passes are blocked on all Saturdays and Sundays.

The So Cal passes (next level up) are blocked on Saturdays, but are valid most Sundays. This typically makes Sunday's very crowded, especially in the afternoons, as all of the locals visit then (since they are blocked on Saturdays).

I am puzzled as to why Sunday would have been "slow" compared to Monday. It doesn't really make sense.
