Once again, the time has come for the DLR to offer the "2Fer" to residents of Southern California and northern Baja California.

MousePlanet is announcing that starting from 6 January, residents of Californian ZIP Codes 90000 to 93559 and Mexican Códigos Postales 21000 to 22999 will be able to purchase the 2Fer Ticket at the DLR Ticket Booths, the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort, and Disneyland.com.

Certain other places, including VONS Supermarkets, or the Disney Desks located in major Southern Californian shopping centres will also be selling them, but might not have them immediately.

Like last year, the ticket will allow guests to enjoy both DLR Theme Parks for the price of a One-Day, One Park ticket ($69.00). It will be valid for one day at Disneyland Park, to be used between 6 January and 3 June, and for another day within 30 days after first use at Disney's California Adventure Park.

The 2Fer is NOT a ParkHopper ticket. It cannot be used to visit both parks on the same day.

Likewise, it cannot be used to visit the same park twice. Ex: If you visit Disneyland Park on your first day, you MUST use your second day to visit Disney's California Adventure Park.

This offer is only open to residents of the specified region, and Proof of Residence may be required to purchase or use the ticket

In addition, the 2Fers less well-known counterpart, the Southern California 2-Day ParkHopper, is also returning, and will be priced at $94.00 for adults, the same price as a 1-Day ParkHopper.

Both tickets have the same restrictions, but the 2-Day ParkHopper is valid on both days at both parks, allowing you to enjoy two days at both the DLR Theme Parks for the price of one.

Finally, as the DLR offers Free Admission on Your Birthday, this offer is also affected somewhat.

Eligible guests with birthdays between 6 January and 3 June will receive a free 2Fer ticket instead of the normal one-day, one-park ticket. It will act in the same way as a normal 2Fer ticket, except that the first day must be on your birthday.

The Birthday 2Fer can also be upgraded to the Southern California 2-Day ParkHopper for $25.00, making it quite possibly the cheapest 2-Day ParkHopper available.

Oh, so that's a great deal for the people who have b-days before June 3. They will get the 2Fer instead of just the one-day/one-park deal! So just to be clear - let's say someone (not an Annual Pass holder) goes to DL on their birthday, which is February 14, but wants to make a weekend trip out of it. They will get the 2Fer ticket and can go into Disneyland on February 14, and then into California Adventure on the 15th, correct? That is a fantastic deal, and those folks with birthdays before June 3 (and no Annual Passes) will benefit from having early birthdays, since the folks with b-days after June 3 will only get the one-day/one-park deal.

I assume the SoCal 2-day Hopper for $94 is only good until June as well?

OMG. Yayyy!!!!!! Thank you! I've been waiting for this. Makes it SO much easier to take DBF's brothers soon!

will non-so cal residents be able to use these tickets.

MY family (from Nor Cal) will be going to DL in Feb with my So Cal family. Could they buy the tickets for us to use?

Has anyone in the past been asked to show ID at the gate?

In all my times going to DL, I've seen anyone ask for ID at a gate. Does that happen?

Thanks!

We've used 2fers several times before we got our APs and we were never asked for our IDs at the gates. I've never seen anyone get asked for IDs at the gate either. I'm pretty sure if a So Cal family member bought them for you, you wouldn't have a problem.

I've already noted this in the birthday promotion thread - which ought to be a sticky, but for some reason isn't ... Millions of people in Southern and Baja CA have a chance get into both parks free, but how many will know about it? :confused3

My guess is that the lines at the ticket booths may not continue to be as bad as in photos that have been posted recently :rolleyes1 , but they won't return to "normal" lengths this year. :scared1:
