DLP with baby

Now that our trip is getting closer we're starting to wonder about our sanity in taking our 9 month old baby girl to DLP!!! We're excited but also a bit worried we'll forget something important etc.

Any tips from those of you who have brought babies? She is on about 4 bottles of milk a day so we'll just bring those disposable cartons for her. We can sterilise the bottles in our hotel room (we're staying at the Dream Castle) as I think it has a kettle.

Also, how far is it from the entrance of the parks to the bus stop for the hotels? If she's in full meltdown mode (which admittedly happens rarely but you never know!) how long a journey are we looking at to get back to our hotel?

Lastly, can you change a nappy at any of the toilets at DLP or are there specific baby changing and feeding areas in each of the parks?

We went when our DD2 was 3m, 10m and 19m old. And going back again in Dec - she'll be 2 then.

Cant help with the milk/sterilising as she was breastfed and we always stay in a Disney hotel. Sure someone else will help more...

All the toilets have changing facilities and all the restaurants have highchairs. That is one thing I find wonderful about DLRP. Don't worry about your baby having a meltdown, I was the same but Anya was so amazed with the characters, she forgot about everything else - worked well for me

please don't worry, I found the facilities brilliant. We took our little one at 12 months and she was still on bottles so I just took the tetra packs like you mentioned and the milton cold water sterilising tablets which don't need rinsing (along with a big plastic cereal box) to sterilise them in. I would take some sachets of baby calpol just in case. If you run out of nappies most hotel receptions sell them along with jars of baby food but I took our little one the plum baby food along with fruit purees and she was fine eating them and bits of our own. Baby changing facilities are great ... I think they have them in the men's toilets aswell as hubby took our little one in there a few times for a change. Hope you have a great trip

I'm sure you'll be fine. We went in June when our DD was 9 months old and like you really worried we'd forgotten stuff.

DD was breastfed also, so I'm not sure about milk and stuff, but the changing facilities are great.

The bus station is right outside the parks, so you wont have far to walk, however I also stayed onsite so I can't help with the length of the bus journey.

My DD had a fab time there, just for reference. She loved the rides she was allowed on and looked like she was right at home in DLP . When we landed back in Scotland she actually cried from the minute we got off the plane until we got home, even then she wasn't happy. Think she thought we had moved to DLP - I wish!!!!!!!

Food wise, we always found something for her to eat as well. Granted, not as healthy as we would've liked, but meals usually have pasta/potatoes etc with them, so we just fed her off our plates and she absolutely loved the pain au chocolat's so pretty much lived off of them.

I'd see if you can get sachets of calpol to take with you though as I've heard it's hard to get anything like that there. Fortunately we never needed to use it, but at least we had it with us just in case

In the studios she came on the tram ride with us - which was absolutely hilarious btw as we all thought it was a tour of the studios so it was a huge surprise when the thing started shaking and things went on fire etc

in boots they sell travel sterliser bags for the microwave there great 3 mins and done, theres a microwave available for use in the main reasturant in the hotel. and in many dotted over the parks.

also theres a babycare center in the park, nice place just next to medical center.

We had our first trip to Disney when my daughter was 3 months old. I took a couple of bottles and some steribags which are just like big bags with milton in them - they were really handy. The hotel was great and gave us an extra kettle, a bottle warmer and a baby bath. I took a couple of cartons but took powdered milk and just boiled evian in the extra kettle to make them up.

The facilities were really good. The baby care centre in the park had microwaves and bottle warmers and seating as well as changing stuff.
