I purchased tickets over the phone a few weeks ago. I had to give the names of each traveler over the phone and the confirmation e-mail showed all of our names.

My mom just received the tickets (had them delivered to Italy as I used the italian offer as opposed to the U.S. one that was $190 more expensive). All 3 tickets have my last name on them. There are 2 adults and 1 child and each indicates whether it's an adult ticket or a child ticket, but as I said, they all have my last name on them.
Is that how they're issued? With the last name of the person who made the purchase? And if that's the case, then why bother asking for each person's name?

Yes you just get the surname printed on the tickets. Don't know why they ask the names but its the same with booking the hotel package they want all the names but on the tickets will have the surname of the lead person in the booking

French bureaucracy.....

No these came from the Italian site - if it had been French bureaucy every ticket would have had each name on it in full and you would have to supply id in triplicate to use it :faint:....I can say this only slightly tongue in cheek after 30 years here
