Is it less expensive to buy tickets online or at the gate at DLP?

I went to go buy the tickets (I'm in Canada by the way) online at the www.disney.go.com site, I get re-directed to the UK site. And when I try to check out, the default country is England and it can't be changed. Weird.

How many days are you looking for and what are the dates as they might be some offers around seeing as you could pick up the tickets at the Val d'Europe shopping centre :)

I was just pricing up tickets for a one- or two-day trip. Checked the US, UK, and Irish DLP websites, and after currency conversion, the US was cheapest by a fair amount. I think that's because they set the US$ price with the currency conversion rate at that time and then leave it for a while, and the US$ has been doing so poorly vs the Pound and the Euro. I don't know if there is a Canadian DLP website, or how the Canadian $ has been doing vs the US$, etc., but it does seem to pay to shop around! :teacher:

I wouldn't think the address you put in to buy tickets online would matter, because they're not actually mailing the tickets to you, right? When we went a year ago I booked our package through the UK website, left the country as UK, and didn't have any problems.

Good luck! :)

We are looking for 3 day park hoppers August 11-13.

I had the hardest time getting the website to change from the UK site..its like it just wanted to default to it or something.:upsidedow

I finally got it to work last night...I will compare the US site to the Canadian one (BTW- I am an American living in Canada, so I am always keeping track of the US dollar/Canadian dollar...the CDN dollar is actually better right now..go figure).

Thanks for the replies.

Hello :goodvibes

Looking at the prices today at the gate I'd suggest getting a Fantasy AP.

It's cheaper at 139€ rather than a 3 day/2 park hopper costing 151€.

You would get 10% off in the shops on your purchases, 10% off in the restaurants be them CS/TS or buffets and if you wanted to go see BBWWS you'd get 20% off that

You are not in a blackout period as the blackout day in August is the 14th

:)

Hello :goodvibes

A Fantasy pass you buy at the gate same place as you would your ticket. They will take your photo and everything, it's really straightforward. Just remember to have a photo id with you each.

BBWWS is Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show , it's a evening show with cowboys, indiens, horses and Disney characters. Good fun and there's a meal with it

What's the cost of a Fantasy pass?? Thanks for all your info:cool1:

No bother :goodvibes

A Fantasy AP costs 139€ per person so already a saving of 12€ over a 3day/2 park hopper at 151€ and you get the discounts (10% off food/drinks/shopping) every time you present your AP

Just one thing to be aware of is that child AP prices are the same as adults so you wont save as much if there are children in your party. Still good value though

You've reminded me of something :goodvibes

If there are children coming there are offers on going where you can get 1 child pass free for 1 adult pass paid ;)
