Hi all,

I'm going to Disneyland on my own. I wondered if there are any other adults out there who have been to DLP by themselves and have felt as daft as I did, going on the rides by themselves.

There were some rides I avoided, and probably missed a lot of fun, because they were clearly full of families.

What does anyone else think? Should I say 'stuff it' and go on them anyway, even though I do feel a bit ridiculous?

Go on everything!

I've often wondered what it would be like to ride alone - I bet you notice things you wouldnt normally notice and the expereince would be totally different.

I may go on the Pirates of the Caribbean on my own whe we go next to see what it feels like 'solo'.

Go by yourself -don't miss a chance to go! I haven't been to DLP yet, but at DL and WDW I always nicely ask CM to take my picture. They always like to help.

Thanks for your input guys! You do notice stuff when you aren't worrying about kiddies enjoying themselves etc. However, when the rides are loaded with families and you sit there in state in seat by yourself you do feel a bit ridiculous.

I did go on rides and enjoyed them but I felt a real twit sitting in a cab on a ride by myself.

When we go, we usually are with 3 or 5 persons who do the ride, so there's always one person who has to sit alone. I don't care, I enjoy with or without a person next to me :D

I do agree, the rides are just as good on your own, but just to give you an example - I chickened out of going on the famous teacup ride simply because I felt it would have looked stupid - me a grown woman etc. If I'd had friends with me or could have borrowed a child from somewhere I wouldn't have felt so ridiculous.

Most of the time it didn't stop me but I did feel on occasion a bit, daffy.
