Its been 15 years since we've been to DLP but with a special birthday coming on Christmas Day I've been looking at a short break over Christmas with my teenage daughter.

Silly question probably but is it very busy and what are the chances of getting a meal booked for Christmas night?

Its difficult now to get a room for Christmas Eve funnily enough, but I wondered about doing a "split" stay will Disney shift the luggage the way they will at WDW?

We were in DLP last Christmas and though it was busy on Christmas Day - it was 'quiet' compared to Boxing Day. We have just returned from DLP (late Thursday night) and it was mad busy all 5 days we were there - easily comparable to Boxing Day!

On Xmas Day, we didn't bother with the dinner at the resorts - it is very expensive - we had an early - ish dinner at Lucky Nugget instead - characters and a band playing Christmas carols at the front - the price was the standard price.

Can't help re split stays at hotels - we have also done this more than once at WDW - I would just ring and ask them - can't be that difficult for them to arrange as all the hotels are much closer together.

I have been back and forth to websites all w/end and finally booked flight and hotel through Expedia, worked out cheapest and owing to the time its taken me I couldn't get anything onsite for Christmas Eve via the Disney website.

7.00 am flight out of Edinburgh arrive Paris at 10.00 on 24 December staying at the Cheyenne for 3 nights and celebrating my 60th birthday on Christmas Day :cool1:

Thanks for the info re eating on Christmas Day, quite happy to have an early meal and as its 15 years since we've been to DLP I really quite like to celebrate at Annette's Diner :woohoo:

What a fantastic way to celebrate your birthday! Hope you have a brilliant time.

I'm thinking a Birthday Tea at the Plaza Gardens Restaurant might well be a good option as a chocolate birthday cake sounds ideal to me :lmao:

Thanks to all the reviews and links in the stickies which I have been studying all day and half the night :)

You have booked exactly the dates (and flight times) that we booked last year (except we flew from Liverpool) - have a wonderful time - I'm very jealous.

Call from Expedia today, Flybe have cancelled the 7.00 am flight on Christmas Eve :(

Once more back to the drawing board while I worked out the best options as the reason for taking such an early flight was to have more or less a day at the parks on the Monday and the alternative flight wasn't until lunchtime.

I rang Disney to see how much an extra night would be and was quoted £274 :scared1: Rang Expedia and asked if I could change the flight to the Sunday how much would an extra night be through them and they quoted £137. Now admitedly this is without tickets but I can get a 4 for 3 day ticket for £77 each sooooooooooooo we are now booked to leave on the 23rd :cool1:
