There is Disney magic whichever place you choose-surely the point is you love Disney and want a good time right?

It's easier and cheaper for me to get a few days Disney fix in Paris as I cannot contemplate affording the american ones just yet...would love to visit them one day but I just like Disney end of. What it costs me to get a couple of days in Paris it would cost me in return flights alone to the US. If you have that kind of money and that amount of time to spend then fantastic, the american parks are bigger therefore it is not rocket science that there is going to be more to do, don't get me wrong there is plenty to do at DLP (not to mention PAris is next door for a bit of culture away from the parks!) but on a totally different scale. When my niece met Belle in Disneyland PAris this year, she didn't give a stuff where in the world she was located and why should she?

You either like Disney or you don't, what's the point of arguing over which side of the earth does Disney better

Honestly it's like being at school....my dads car is better than your dads... fine but it still gets you from A to B.

Have a good time wherever you go i say :thumbsup2

have poste on outher thread,each to there own but where to op gets a lot of sick if the use of his facts which are all over the place. Viva la diffrance

As an ESL poster, I am not really sure that I understand your post. But I have read the 'other' thread and some of the xenophobic posts lead me to believe that some choices are influenced by a dislike of certain cultures.

Bravo! ::yes::

I think the point of the excerise is beginning to be missed on both threads
I agree with you on this wholeheartedly, but I can't agree with your analysis of the actual point. As I mentioned on the other thread, I'm not anti-DLP in any way, but I'm baffled by the attempt at a cost comparison between two incomparable resorts. In his blog, the OP asserts that WDW could find itself in trouble because any European with a brain will soon be choosing other Disney resort destinations over WDW. The responses on UK Trip Planning have clearly disabused him of that notion. As we all know, statistics can be used to evidence any point of view and I'm confident that I could "prove" that WDW is cheaper based on my own decree of "like for like". However, cost is clearly not the determining factor in choosing a holiday destination, so my point is that there is no point. This study is quite simply pointless.

The OP has invited criticism by linking to his blog. I'm not knocking him, just his take on this. You can't put nonsense out into the public domain and expect it to go unchallenged. As I've already said, the article is littered with factoids which immediately render the author's credibility questionable. Add to that the £/€ exchange rate snafu and you have the final nail in the coffin of plausibility.

We have worked hard on the DLP board to ensure respect and understanding of different cultures and nationalities. But sadly there are still racists about and those less respectful of their fellow DISers.
Anyone not respecting the DIS and DLP board guidelines will be dealt with through the infraction system. So play nice everyone :goodvibes

If there is anything that you feel is not within board guidelines I would encourage you to use the report post (red triangle) and/or alert the webmasters.
