DLP in October

OK, sorry if these are repeated questions, but I have looked through the topics and searched and did not find the answers.

I went to England last year for a week. I have the bug again and am looking at coming over for 2 weeks in October. I want to spend the weekends watching Manchester United play, and was thinking about spending Monday to Thursday at DLP. If by chance ManU plays on Sunday, I could do Wednesday to Saturday.

Is there anything that I will be missing by not spending the weekend there? I am hoping for mid-month, but it will all depend on the schedule for ManU. My schedule will be flexible since I am coming by myself.

Hi,

Mid-October will be Halloween season at DLRP - and as far as I'm aware, there are no extra shows, parades etc on at weekends compared to midweek. You'll also miss most of the crowds by going there midweek.

Thank you for that answer. I think I will try to go later in the month so I can catch the Halloween vibe over there. I have done Christmas at DL in Anaheim, so this will be a nice change. Hopefully the EPL schedule will work out for me.

I work for ManU's main sponsor, so as someone coming across the pond, it is how I can get tickets to the matches. Plus I love ManU. If I could get tickets to go watch city, I would love to. That is why I am planning a longer trip so I can go to someplace other than Old Trafford.

Is it possible to get tickets to the City games from someone who is not a member of the club.

It will be much better for you to visit mid-week as weekends are always busier. The Halloween season commenced 6th October this year, it's the final two weeks of October that get busier as British and French schools have half-term holidays. However, we went Monday to Friday 21st-26th this year and it was much quieter than either Christmas or summer season has been.

If I could get tickets to go watch city, I would love to. That is why I am planning a longer trip so I can go to someplace other than Old Trafford.

Is it possible to get tickets to the City games from someone who is not a member of the club.

If you ask this over on the UK Community Board hopefully there will be someone there who can help with where you can buy tickets from.

With Halloween falling on a Friday next year, I figured that week leading up to it would be a little crazy. I was thinking the week before that, which would line up with your trip this past year, and from your response that sounds like the correct answer.

Does 3 nights sound like a good time frame for a first trip(most likely solo)? I was thinking:
Monday...train from London, afternoon/eve in park
Tuesday...all day in park
Wednesday...all day in parks
Thursday...head back to London
