Hi
We've booked to go DLP for a few days the week before Christmas.

Can anyone tell me what the crowds would be like?
The temperature?
And if anything will be closed?

Many thanks in advance

During the week I'd imagine them to be manageable, however at the weekends expect it to be very, very busy.

Very cold, I have seen many a picture of frozen lakes etc in DLRP during the winter!

Closures and refurbishments can be found here

Closed Rides

in December you have the following closures:

La Tanière du Dragon - 1st to 12th
Space Mountain: Mission 2 - 8th to 9th
Honey, I Shrunk The Audience - 15th to 19th

Hi,

Depends on when, as stated w/e's busier. We went the 21 - 23 Dec last year and it was as busy as the summer although in saying that, depends on your preception of busy! Be prepared for queues I guess.

As to the weather, it was dry and cold and there was thick ice on the small lakes around Disney - you can wrap up against the cold but if it's raining then that is different - pot luck really!

We go on the 14th and leave the 18th.
So Sunday to Thursday.

We've all ready decided to not visit the parks on the Sunday, as we will have been travelling most of the day, and with a 13 year old, a 3 year old and 21 month old, we'll just stick to the Hotel pool and play area.

didn't want to read and run, just wanted to say have a great time!:thumbsup2

Sounds great :) I'd priced up w/c 9th (I think?) of Dec but then found out it's my DD1's nativity play on the Friday that week so no go for us. So I'm thinking about end Nov v beg of December but then I think it's then a long time for a 3.5 year old to wait for Santa to visit her at home once she's seen him at DLRP if you know what I mean.

Anyway, hope you have a fabulous time - should be lovely :thumbsup2

Dec is cold but not so different to the UK weather. It'll be boring if it rains but that's just pure luck...or not really;)

We went in Dec 2 years ago and going back again this Dec. It was wonderful, we all loved the Xmas season, it was so magical. It was cold and remember it rained one of the days but apart from that we had a fab time. We bought warm clothes (you get cold by standing in the queues), lots of thermals from M&S and nice jeans with fleece lining for my DD1. DD2 was 3 months old so we just carried her in the sling and used a skisuit. It'll be different this year so I'll be investing in a pair of ski trousers for both girls.

The crowds are ok mid week but it's mad fri-sun so try and avoid those days.
